Limited LRT2 trips staring 2nd week October

LRT-2 announced today the possibility of implementing degraded operations from Cubao to Recto and back anytime next week due to the severe damage of the two rectifier substations.

However, the operations from Santolan to Anonas and back will still be unavailable at a MAXIMUM of nine months as the replacement of the damaged rectifier substations necessitates a highly-technical intervention.

With the operations from Santolan to Anonas still temporarily suspended, buses from the MMDA and the Philippine Coast Guard are being deployed to ferry the affected passengers during peak hours.

The initial estimated damages cost of the system is about P428 million.
